I just activated my phone and cannot make calls. It says don't have an active long distance add on. We have subscribed to unlimited call and text Canada wide.

Sounds like you have the plan renewal "1969" bug....its time to meet simple Simon. Just ask for a human. Then insist "No I want to talk to a human." Follow the instructions there in.

You should consider creating a support ticket. Explain your issue to SIMON, the ? comment bubble in the bottom right.
Use as few words as possible to allow the BOT to understand you better. Answer his questions until you get to here:
Click on "Submit a ticket" and the Moderator team will take over your case and respond to your concern within 48 hours. May take longer, but the promise of the new Ticketing System was that it will reduce these wait times.

Did you port number from another provider? Might take a bit for port to complete.
Does anything work text? Local calls? Data?
Log into your self serve account does it say account is active?
Try restarting your phone
