Hello,
I just upgraded my plan to 4G and it still says LTE on my phone. There’s a big difference between LTE and actual 4G, is there going to be a speed difference or is this just another company calling 4G LTE true 4G when it’s not? LTE is more like 3.5G NOT true 4G

As the fine print says, the '4G' plans are whatever the 3G/4G(LTE) network can provide to you up to 100Mbps. There is no access to 5G. If you're looking for more speed, you may have picked the wrong provider.

It depends on the phone's software.
My ulefone displayed 4G when connected to old "3G speed" plan even though it was connected to 4G LTE signal.
Now i switched to 4G speed plan and the phone still display same 4G in header.
Same signal just no throttling.
Some phones may display 4G or LTE or LTE+.
🤔

4G is 4G LTE which is the network that your phone is connected to....the difference between "4G" plans and "3G" plans is the data speed. 3G plans are on the same network with the data speed throttled to 3mbps. 4G plans are unthrottled full speed 4G LTE with data speeds reaching up to 100mbps.
It will take up to 48 hours for your data speed to be unthrottled from 3mbps. Unless you have a large data plan do not perform a speed test as one test can use up to 400+mb. Instead on day 30 of your plan if you have leftover data you are unlikely to use you can perform a speed test then. Just remember your data resets at 12 midnite eastern so perform any speed test before that time.

@Youreterrible Hi it takes up to 48 hours for the speed to actually increase you will get 4g speeds at that point 😀
