Consistently across multiple VPNs (windscribe, mullvad, air), the connection's internet stops working within a few minutes when connected to the network.
I've tried different servers, ports and even different protocols, such as IKEv2, OpenVPN, etc. but to no avail, except for Stealth protocol. Stealth is a circumvention tool which masks VPN traffic, so it has me thinking the cellular network is using DPI on VPN traffic and blocking it selectively.

@jash7181 , I use VPN all the time on my iPhone & sometimes hotspot to my iPad with no issues so far when I’m using Proton VPN or Express VPN connected to my home Wi-Fi or Public Mobile Cellular Data & I’m only on a 3g speed plan (if that matters)!
I’m technically challenged so I’m no help! Sorry 😞

@hTideGnow- ?? Two other people here said VPN works for them not just the one.

I have as mentioned below. It works on Rogers and Videotron.

Are you in Eastern Canada? I wonder if this is a regional issue.

@jash7181 , I don't think this service has issues with VPNs. I have one on all the time on my phone.

I'm not sure half of the stuff you said but I'll throw in my 2 cents. I just tried my VPN on data and watched Youtube for 3 minutes and used 30mb of data... best of Justified season 2... no problems.

Yes it works on my home internet powered by Rogers. My setup works as well on the Videotron network.

so, the same setup on your phone works on Wifi? And maybe find another sim and test, this can confirm if PM blocks VPN traffic

I watched a few YouTube shorts on Mullvad Wireguard and it stopped working. Not even pings went through.

Cell data, Proton VPN, Youtube app, some music video - ok that's enough - it didn't cut off. I went for about a minute or so. Appears to have taken about 8megs.

Could be bytes... Right now it's happening almost instantly, but I'm also streaming a YouTube video.

Do you think it's minutes or bytes? Interesting find.
