Need to change email on PM account (not Community)

Hi 

 

I was looking at this thread:

It seems like I need a mod to manually update my new email for my PM account (not community) on the server-side. Can I get a mod to please help me?

Send a private message to them here and include your phone number and PIN to minimize back and forth identity verification.

Forget your PIN? Then you'll need 3 of either of these pieces of information you used when you signed up: full address, birthdate, last 4 digits of CC you might have used, email address on the account, alternative phone number you might've entered when you signed up. Or, in addition, either of these to get to 3: last payment amount and date, last add-on bought and date.
Then hopefully they will get back to you as soon as they can between M-F 9-9 (ET) and Sat-Sun 9-7:30 (ET).

Watch for the red blob over the little envelope in the upper right area of the screen. That indicates that you've received a message.

Had sim card activated by Walmart. Now can not get into PM account at all. I need to change the email address, but can't get in to do self serve. I do not have access to the email address that I gave when activating my sim card. Can I get help from the Moderator Team please?

Thanks that's what i suspected from my linked thread

When you change the username (email address) on the self server portal, it only changes the credentials that you will use to login.  The actual email address on record for official business such as password reset has not changed. I am not sure why the system functions this way as it can create huge problems later. The only solution is to reach out to the moderator team and have them take care of email. Click this to send them a message

 

I know it can be a little frustrating to wait but send a message to the moderator team and include your name, account number and/or phone number and pin number and they will get back to you asoon as they can between Monday-Friday 9am-9pm (EDT) and Satuday-Sunday 9AM-7:30PM (EDT)

@Syed_S, the customer can change the username for login purposes.  However the real email of record has not changed.  This is the one that customers rely on for things like password reset if that function ever gets fixed.  I suggest you help this customer sync up the email of record.

Woot,

 

That worked, I was assuming it didn't work because it said username (meaning something else) not email. Perhaps the webmaster can change the wording on this!
