I'm hoping someone can contact me about a stolen phone. I've gotten a new phone, but I need to disable the stolen one.
Please, help me.
Thank you.

It has been blocked somehow. I had lost a previous phone & used the "find my device" to find it.
I am a strong supporter of this service & make sure all my friends are aware of it.
Apparently, the person who "liberated" my phone is pretty tech savvy. They have breached my password protection, they aren't making phone calls or texts that can be tracked back to them, just using my data, & they turned off the locator.
Now they are trying to get into my Gmail account.

This is awesome. Thank you! I did not record the IEMI # or keep the box. I just want them to not be able to take this BRAND NEW phone some where & start using it.
It was stolen from my workplace, which is a secure facility, employees only. I am very angry!

the IMEI is also on the original phone box if you still have it.

Going forward.. if you haven't done this already, I suggest ensuring any iPhone or Android device(s) are setup to be found via the operating system provided "find my device" app / website.
These are not on by default, and in my opinion, should be a default selection of ENABLED.
I know it's hard having it stolen.. but doing this gives the ability to attempt to find the device, and in worst case scenarios, remote wipe them.

Knowing the IMEI would make it a lot easier to blacklist the phone. However, it's not absolutely necessary. They can look up the connection logs and get the IMEI from there. You will need the help of a moderator to do the blacklisting. The moderator team can be reached via private message using this link. When you say disable what do you mean?
Both apple and android allow you to remotely wipe the phone if it come online again
In self serve you can swap sim which deactivates your current sim
You can ask phone to be put on black list if you know the IMEI number
