Thanks anyway softech

@Al20

If the message is "SIM network unlock PIN" or "SIM ME lock code NP" or "SIM not Supported" or on an iPhone's About->Carrier Lock showing "SIM locked"
          You have to ask the carrier where you got the phone from for the carrier help unlocking it.
           (Sorry, for this particular issue, PM support would not be able to help)

because each service provider makes their own sim card and cannot be used for another one.  Even PM sim cannot be used on Telus or Telus sim cannot be used on Koodo.

@Eric7220  Every provider has their own sim card specific to them, so to change provider you need to get that provider's sim card.

@Terryv123   The generic sim unlock code for Public Mobile is 1234.   If that doesn't work open a ticket with customer support using the chat icon bottom right of this page.  If you chatbot is uncooperative then send support a private message using this link

@Kyordey   Do you mean the sim card size is wrong?  The Public Mobile sim card is 3 in 1, you just remove the outer spacer/s until you get to the right size.  If that's not it or what has already been asked perhaps you can elaborate so we can understand the problem better.

The phone is not carrier locked and is band compatible.

@Kyordey , what do you mean by not accepting the SIM card?  Is the phone connecting to the network?  If not then I wonder if the account activation was successful.  Make sure to check that.  If it is a mobile data issue you are referring to, check the APN settings against this help article.
