I am from Canada in the US and my phone plan includes phoning and texting in Canada, the US and Mexico but it says I have to pay a roaming fee.

hi @Debritchie
the text you got about buying roaming is a default text for every PM customers who enters US, whether you have the roaming plan or not. So, if you have the correct roaming plan, just ignore it. Make sure your phone connects to T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon and able to use the network

Just to clarify there are no fees for using your service on Public Mobile as it's fully prepaid. And you don't need to purchase a roaming add-on as it's included in your plan.

Naaa, don't worry @Debritchie that is the normal message that comes across. I get it every time I cross the US border. It's good. As long as you can use data text and make and calls, you're good and it won't cost extra.
If you have any problems with any of the three, just go into your network settings and turn off automatic. Then pick T-Mobile as I find that the most reliable while I'm in the US. Then reboot the phone and you should be all good.
