Multiple phone numbers

I initially set up my Public Mobile account with a new phone number (area code 867) before I was able to successfully transfer my old number from my previous provider (area code 306).

now I am receiving texts and phone calls to the 306 number but when I send outgoing calls or texts it’s from the 867 number.
my account phone number says it is the 306 number, however for some reason it is not the number that is active?
i want to completely delete/replace the 867 number from my account, any advice?

@Erica22

it is not on the PM app but your phone

and please note: Resetting your network settings will reset all your Wi-Fi, cellular, and VPN settings.

iPhone:
                  Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone Reset > Reset Network Settings

Android (could be different based on the brand and version):
                    Settings > General management > Reset.> Reset network settings.

I am using an iPhone, but the issue is with iMessages, and texts, as well as when I make phone calls. I did not give the 867 number to anyone so I don’t think it is on the receiving end?

@Erica22 , the old number could be some kind of cached information residing in your phone.  Try checking the settings in the text and phone app.

@Erica22

are you using iPhone and had the issue with iMessage?  if so, did you update the phone number there?

Also, it could also be the receiving ends.  Make sure your friends remove your 867 number from their contact list on the phone
