Mobile network/Internet not working

Laurentius

New sim card, calls and text is working, internet/mobile data is not. I have a Ulefone Armor 6, not in the specific list. I tried to reset network settings, restart phone, etc nothing works. I can't change APN settings manually with my phone, what to do? If i put the sim in another phone the Internet works

Hi @Laurentius , what @0077 suggested about factory reset is unnecessary.  Likely you get all the data erased and still not get the correct APN

Using Freedom SIM is the easiest way if you have a friend that can lend you the SIM

also, check the thread from another owner of your phone

@Laurentius  I will assume the little + sign to manually add APN settings is greyed out?.

You'll need to find a Freedom Mobile sim card to solve your problem. If you're in a province that sells freedom then stop at a store and see if you can borrow a sim for a few mins or if you know a friend that has one borrow it for a few minutes to be able to change your APN settings. Oflr try ordering one off Amazon. Roam mobile sims apparently work as well and allow you to change APN settings.

You can use the search feat on these forums to search your phone. Alot of threads come up about this issue with APN settings for that particular phone and the resolution is a freedom sim card to be able to change APN settings.

Or private message support at link below. They may be able to text you an APN file that will upload to your phone.

@Laurentius

You do not need to factory reset your phone. What is the OS you are on? This particular issue if you have greyed out APN settings or no edit option is showing is solved by the following options:

  1. Upgrade your OS from Oreo 8.1 to Android 9 or above.
  2. Obtain a freedom sim card or Roam sim card to edit your APN. There is a method to follow if you choose this option. We can walk you thru the steps.
  3. Contact customer support to text you a configuration file that will automatically update your carrier profile to public mobile's APN.

Try the first option if you are unable to use this option choose one of the other two options to change your APN to public mobile's.

Edit: in bold.
