@Peter27 make sure you removed the travel sim. if it is an eSIM, please delete it.
Then check the VPN screen and delete the VPN profile
Next, reboot the phone and click Reset Network Settings and it should resolve the problem

So how long ago did your plan get suspended due to non-pay ? If it's been in excess of 90 days, your account has been deactivated. You'd need a new sim to start a new account.

Put a travel card in to go to Europe. Just got back and put original card back in and now i get this error. Says no sim card in phone. Cant make calls. Worked before i went to Europe.

which city you are at?
and can you get inbound/outbound voice calls without problem?

sound like a device issue.
Make sure Airplane mode is disabled. Also make sure mobile data limit is disabled, too
Try Reset Network settings
