Dual SIM not working

Before BM activation I was able to use two SIM cards at one time but now I cannot use my Telus Sim while I'm using my PM Sim

@Karan9

did you just change one of them to esim yesterday?

For Samsung S23+ to have dual working sim, one of them have to be physical.  ie, physical + esim can be active at the same time but not esim+esim.  S23 cannot support dual active esim and hence you are getting the problem you see.  (S24 is the first Samsung phone that supports dual active esim)

In order to use both providers, you need to convert one of them back to active and then you can have the one physical and one esim active simultaneously

I have an S23 Plus. As I said, until yesterday I was using dual SIM, but today I have two eSIMs in my phone, and only one will work at a time. Before, I could see the network of both cellular companies, but now if I turn one on, the other will shut off completely, and the phone will restart.

HI @Chalupa_Batman

what you said might not be 100% correct.  With Dual sim phones, both sim cards can work at the same time

of course with calls, only one calls will be "live" and the other will be gone to voicemail (it is just a limitation with the phone's speaker)

but when you are on calls, your phone can still receive text from the other sim and you can still use data from the other sim.

Hey @Karan9

Only one SIM card can be used at a time, per say. You have to set one of them as the primary and the other as the secondary. So for example, if you are on a call with your Telus line, your Public Mobile line will go directly to voicemail. You won't get any text messages either until the Telus line isn't being used. So when you hang up the call, moments later that text will come though. Make sense?

hi @Karan9

setting up dual sim is tricky.  You have to tell us what phone do you have? iPhone or Android?

and make sure setup a label for both of them: Primary or Secondary.  Make sure both sim are enabled and Mobile Data/voice are set with  the correct sim you prefer to use as default

it would be nice if you can post us screenshot of the current setup with your 2 sim cards
