We have the Canada US Mexico plan. My wife is in Mexico now and connot connect to the Telcel network there. Has anyone had a problem like this? She is in Oaxaca.
Her friend is with Freedom and has had no problems.

@Denwood Apologize in behalf for the wrong info above. Mexico still has 3G for voice so VoLTE whitelist does not matter. The VoLTE list is only a big concern for people roaming in US

VoLTE shouldn't matter in Mexico, as they still have their 3G networks. This sounds like a general connection issue, not specific to voice calls.
I would check to make sure it's not set to manually connect to Public Mobile only (i.e. make sure network selection is set to automatic). If that doesn't work, change it to manual and search for AT&T or Telcel.

for successful use in Mexico, our phones will connect to AT&T, Telcel or even Movistar sometimes. Telcel is predominate but the others work too. The 3g networks haven't been decommissioned in Mexico like they have in USA so calls should work with or without VoLTE. What make is wife's cellphone she uses in Mx ?

Hey @Denwood
Depending on what phone she has, if it's part of the VoLTE list here on Public Mobile.

If her phone is not on the list, her phone may not work down there.
She may need to go into her network settings and turn off "automatic" and pick what options show up. Then reboot her phone. Of course she wants to also make sure her data roaming is turned on before she reboots.

Ask your wife to change the network mode to 4g, or LTE, and try again
Also, try manually connect to AT&T
