I manage my mother's Public Mobile account. She is currently on the $15 plan with 100 outgoing monthly minutes. She probably uses 300 minutes monthly - so what I have been doing is manually adding 500 minutes every now and then. But I have to check constantly if she's running low. I was informed that Lucky Mobile has an automatic Low Balance top-up....
"We will also Top-Up your account any time your balance reaches a minimum amount (set by you), ensuring you have funds available in case you need to buy a Service Pass."

Is a similar feature in the works for Public Mobile?

Public Mobile only has auto-pay to pay for the plan every 30 days. Rather then always having to check if your mom has minutes. Why not just buy multiple 500 add-ons? Buy 4, she will be good for awhile, with 2000 Canada wide minutes.

@santi044 - you are probably doing the best thing if you want to save the most $'s.
To avoid you checking all the time, your Mom should receive some notification (via text) when her minutes have been used up, I believe. Is she able let you know when she receives this?
Do you think she is able to manage a VOIP app for making outgoing calls like Fongo ?
This was save a lot on outgoing minutes.
If not, than I agree, if you are managing for someone else, and she is using an average of 300 minutes per cycle, upgrading to the $25 (as already posted) may be the way to go.

I doubt PM would implement that feature. If your mother is using a lot of minutes then maybe consider changing to the $25 plan which has unlimited minutes.
