Lot of spam calls and wrong number calls

Hi,

I recently got a public mobile sim and I have been getting lot of spam calls from "legal department" with automated voice. This has been happening almost daily now.

I also get a lot of calls asking for somebody named Cedric.

Can you guys please tell me what to do?

In Canada you can register in the do not call registry. It blacks spam calls.

Someone likely had that number previously. This has happened to me. Best to change your number.

Block Specific Numbers on Android

Open the Phone app. From the recent calls screen, look for and tap the number you want to block. Tap More. Tap the command to Block number or Block/report spam

@monikasahai  Sounds like Cedric was pretty active. Another option to consider is to change your number. With Public Mobile you are allowed to change your number once every 30 days. Just access selfserve and select the "Change my phone number" option.

I have been blocking those spam calls but not sure what to do about wrong number calls. May be this number belonged to someone else before? Not sure.

I don't think changing number would be an option for me as of now, so I guess I will just keep blocking.

@monikasahai I just keep blocking phone numbers until the calls stop.  It does work.  I get less and less each time I block a number.Or login to your self serve account and Change Phone Number.
