Hi, newly signed up and ported number to public mobile. When I long press 1 to reach voicemail, it prompts me to add a number. When I do try to enter a umber, it will state failed to read data your voicemail number cannot be changed. Can someone help me with this? Thanks.

thanks @MapleLeafDavid for the update. I think what agent did was they manually push the Voicemail setup to your device. Great that PM agent all that resolved within 2 hours.

It was something done on the back end once a support ticket was opened. The number was automatically updated once I assume was an update got pushed down.

you can go to the dialer settings to update the voicemail number that way. And you can change the network connection to manual and choose Public Mobile before you update the voicemail number, it might help if it sees a stable network connection

I did try the one associated with my area code and city and no dice. Since I just ported today I will give it a bit more time and try resetting the network and rebooting the phone again. Thanks for the links.
Galaxy 23 Ultra phone is updated. Just seems it didn't get pushed down. I will send a support ticket if I can't get it resolved. 🙂

What Android phone is it? Sometimes you just need to update the phone to the newest software or firmware.

which voicemail access number you try to enter? try the numbers here again, try different one
Also, try to reboot the phone couple times within 15 mins , sometimes, the VM number would got pushed down by the network
if it still won't take it, maybe you need PM support to help to sort it out
