Hi there - I signed up for Public Mobile almost 4 weeks (and ported) ago but my old Cityfone account is still active. I cannot receive any texts or phone calls. I can make calls and I am using Public Mobile LTE network. I am pay 2 bills right now.
I emailed Cityfone and they told me the follow:
One of the Mods told that "You can go on web self care and complete a port request. Make sure you put in all the right information - identical to your bill with your old provider even caps, no caps, etc."
Can I do this even though I have already ported and using PM? Essentially, no issues with porting a 2nd time using the same sim card? It seems like the web self care website is a new process? Help?

Another Example:
Incoming calls is the last piece to get working in a port-in. I had outgoing calls and texting (both direction) almost immediately. Incoming took longer... Which means there may not be a problem yet...or you have a failed or incomplete port-in and patience may be needed to hear back from a Mod.
If the port isn't complete by tomorrow, private message a Mod with the required details and they'll get things sorted out.
If they could just reply back to me.

I actually don't think it is that complicated.
I have read many solutions to this effect:
Example:
I just activated my dad's sim to Public Mobile.
Problem - He can make outgoing calls BUT does NOT recieve incoming calls....
WHAT DO WE DO???
Send a message to the moderators, let them know about the issue, make sure to include relelvant information from the post below, and someone will get to your issue as quick as they can.
I did exactly the above. Waited for about 1 month now. I would have expected the solution to be a quick system fix....

@alphaplus11 Yes you should try if you can access your account. BUT since you had a problem last time I would, at least mentally, prepare a way to cope if it hangs up again. (a voip app, fongo.com, for example; or speakout7eleven.ca for pay as you go but $35 to start up).
When porting bear the following "tricks" in mind:
- do not use any identifier except your account number EXACTLY indicated by Cityfone; it is the best item for any port-in request
- do not make any errors in the Authourized User; this must be EXACTLY as it appears on your bill
- do not use your number as the Alternate Number; use someone else's
- do not forget to click "I am authourized ...." BEFORE you entering your number (courtesy imm1304)
- do not cancel your account; that will happen automatically
Good luck.
