Issues porting in from 7-11 Speak out

Hello,

 

I just submitted a port in request for my current number, which is with 7-11 Speak out, and I recieved a message from Public mobile saying that I entered an incorrect account number.

 

I used my ten digit phone number for the account number.

 

Could one of the admins please help?

It turns out I needed to provide my IMEI instead of my phone number as the account number.

@KamHar There's no account number for 7-11 so you can't use that.

@KamHar - we are all customers and members like you here on the forum. @RossN provided methods to contact Public Mobile representatives (as you asked for admins), so see their post.

Here is the FAQ on number porting from 7/11.  They make reference to IMEI plus a 4 digit PIN which I am not sure how it can be implemented.  There is a number to call to confirm the process.

@KamHar   I think with 7-11 Speakout, you need to enter the IMEI number

 

There is a number you can call to talk to live support  I will message you the number.  Please check your Community inbox, envelope icon on the top right

Hi porting a number from speakout can be a little tricky ,you need to contact customer service agent 

 

1. you can open a ticket through Simon here https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

 

2. alternatively you can private message them here                               

           check your community envelope for a reply

Find out from 7-11 if your account is actual phone numbe ror they have something else as 'account number'.

PM distinguish phone number from 'account number'.
