Hi @lezah05

I presume you are an EXISTING public mobile account holder simply upgrading your device.

There is one of a few things that could be an issue if the 'new' phone isn't working using an existing PM SIM card which has active service:

  1. the new phone isn't compatible on Public Mobile's network (unlikely, but possible)
  2. the new phone was blacklisted, meaning it was reported lost/stolen either by an individual or perhaps by a prior carrier who had supplied it to a customer who maybe had stopped paying for it
  3. you may be using the wrong SIM size adapter to conform to the new phone's SIM slot tray
  4. the new phone may need it's network settings updated or manually selected to be Public Mobile and not defaulted to a prior provider (if device was used, but is 'new' to you)

@lezah05

Try rebooting your phone, and also try going into airplane mode for a few minutes, then back to regular mode.

@lezah05

  1. What's make/model of new phone?
  2. Do data/texting work?
  3. Does SIM still work in old phone?
  4. Try setting new phone to 3G instead of auto/LTE.
