Should I be able to access internet from my phone when not in a "Hot-spot".  I was in Brockville, ON yesterday and couldn't get on-line.

It's working.  Thanks.

Thanks everyone.  It worked today when in Cornwall so the Brockville area may just have been poor reception.

@DegasDog ,

Were you able to check if you Data Line is showing in your Overview on your Self Serve account?

If so, can you use Data now?

Maybe you were just in an area that did not have good service yesterday?

If you don't see the line item shown below with the data entry, you're out of data:

Unless you're close to your next renewal, you can purchase one GB of add-on data for $15.

@DegasDog , are you able to use your data now?

Disable wifi, enable data, and test it.

If so, than there should not be a problem accessing internet via data any other time, unless you are in an area with poor service.

Also, check your mobile connections on your phone to ensure you are auto connect.

Sometimes you won't get data if you are in a poor reception area.  If you are not connected to Wifi, your phone should be able to use data (if you turned data on in your phone).  Your data needs to be set up properly.

Do you have data remaining in your plan right now?  You can check your self service account under Data and Add on section to see whether there is a data counter/tracker.  If you don't see the tracker, that means you ran out of data this 30 day cycle.

@DegasDog Yes, if you have the right plan and the right phone.

Which plan are you having now?  What kind of phone is that?

Also, check if your DATA is toggled on.

Check to confirm if you have data available on your plan...otherwise you should be able to connect to internet via wifi.
