I am looking for a little clarification on the International Texting. I have a plan which includes provincial wide calling, 4GB of data and international texting. I understand that data can be used Canada wide so I am under the assumption that texting would be similiar. Which does this refer to?
-As long as you are in your home province you can text internationally with no additional fees?
-As long as you are in Canada you can text internationally with no fees? **I believe this is the answer
-International texting includes the ability to text to any international number globally (Meaning you can be anywhere in the world and still have the ability to text with no fees)
Thanks,

She was given incorect information. Global texting means just that. It would be ironic if Mexico weren't included when I know I can send texts to Australia.

*When in Canada* you can send/receive to/from anywhere on the planet.
When in the US you can receive.
You won't have any kind of service when elsewhere with this SIM.

"Global texting" refers to the ability to send outbound international texts. Texting, like data, is not affected by the province-wide calling restrictions.

It means you can send your text from anywhere in canada on pub mobile network to anywhere globally.

If you need to accomplish this, best option is to use your unloicked phone and get a SIM card wherever you are going. Except the US.

Hi @ragingbull91,
I found an old thread for which someone has outlined the different scenarios pretty nicely:
In summary, yes, you are able to send a text message to anywhere in the world as long as you are in Canada, regardless of your home province.
Hope this clears things up!

I had this question before, and to quote the answer I got:
Global text means you can send text anywhere, but if you leave the country you can't. You can roam in the US with an add on, but nowhere else.
