What is the coverage for these "International" plans? Is it any country that has a cell tower? Just looking to clarify as I would want to travel to Korea/Japan/Mexico without having to purchase separate eSim data plans.
Thanks!

The CAN/US/MEX plans specify that data is available to use within those regions, but they drop the listed countries in the details for these international plans. It's confusing whether or not the "international" also applies to data since it's not specified in the fine print either

@CripplingDebt The way cell phone plans work in most of the world is, if a plan includes the word international calling that means you are able to call the countries that are listed in your plan from your home country. Now if you take your cell phone to another country that is not called international calling. It's called Roaming.

Thank you for clarifying
Thursday
PM only have a contact with carrier cell towers in the USA and Mexico because there are no Telus towers in those countries.
If you are just wanting to call and text in Korea and Japan. You can use WhatsApp or Fongo app on wifi without purchasing a local data plan. Service is FREE.

PM has no international plan other than USA and Mexico. The international refers to the talk and text portion not data.

@Nate98x Public Mobile only works in Canada (and the USA and Mexico with appropriate plans), there are no extra charges because the service is prepaid. If someone tries to do something that isn't paid for in advance it just won't work. The "international" plans currently advertised by Public Mobile are for calling certain countries from Canada, the phones will not work in those countries under those plans.

@slusagm PM is advertising plans as "international" if they include long distance minutes to a handful of other countries, like the current $29 plan.

What “international” refers to in what you’re likely seeing is that you are allowed calls to the listed countries. Only in Canada, US and Mexico do Public Mobile offer full services —calls, texts, and data.

there is no international plan here. Or you are talking about international LD add-on?

@CripplingDebt
The international plans you are speaking about is that you can call to the countries listed. The only plans Public Mobile has service (where you can make calls, texts and use data) is Mexico, the United States and Canada.
