Inserting new SIM card

Just received new SIM card. Have received sms from previous provider verifying transfer of phone number. Do I insert new SIM card now?

Wait until your old SIM Card loses reception before inserting the new one, this is the best way to do it.

Hi @BD68 

First, have you signed up for an account and picked a plan yet with Public Mobile? If not, you will have to create an EverSafe account with PM. Then when you are in the sign up process, enter the SIM card number. Once completed, then you can shut down the phone and insert the PM card. Once restarted you should see Public Mobile up top. Try a few test calls and texts.

You old SIM will continue to work for about 2 hours until porting is completed. 
Once it stopped working then power off the phone and switch to the PM SIM.

yes, insert the new PM sim card to the phone

test making calls and sending text.  Then test calling yourself from another phone and see if the PM sim receiving the calls.
