When my phone number gets called it connects to someone else, but out going calls are fine

@Yummy    It was a common glitch.  In fact , it is a common glitch for Telus family (not just PM, but PM/Koodo/Telus all  use the same number picking system)

 

It happens more often like 6 months ago.    

No worry if someone picked your number, the newbie has to go and pick another number instead.

@Z32   did you just activated and picked a new number?

 

If you activate by picking new number, likely the portal has given you the wrong number.   The number is already owned by someone else.     This is a glitch that PM system has sometimes

 

Since it is someone else number, you have no choice but to pick another one.

are you activate new line with new number or you did transfer your old number to PM.
