I have registered and order a physical SIM Card expected to be deliver on Thursday -this week-or Friday ( Nov 01/02 2023 ) the latest.- Understand that when go to activate ( transferring Number from TELUS to PM ) and prior to replace the exisiting SIM Card with the new one from PM...a SMS Text will be sent by PM to the cell phone number to be tranfer , message which requires to be answer to before 90 seconds with a YES to then, allow the porting of the number to start using PM Network.-........Have a IPhone6 with a revision 12.5.7. that doesn't meet iOS Rev requirements not allowing the download of the PM App required to further complete the activation after receiving the SMS Text message requiring a Yes.....The Public Mobile App requires a iOS 13/14 ....so, I wanted to know how this can be work out to complete the activation ( porting )....arethere otherr alternatives ?

The SMS text will be sent by Telus (with the Telus SIM in your phone) confirming you are porting over to PM.
There is an extra step if you are in a Telus prepaid plan. You need to pick a temporary number until porting is completed.
You don’t need to do anything more if your Telus plan is postpaid plan.

The message requiring an answer in 90 seconds comes from the old provider, in this case Telus, not PM.

@Phil_Adelphus , is it only 90 seconds now to reply? That’s not really doable! They shouldn’t have changed it. It used to be: Follow the instructions in the message within ‘90 minutes’ by replying YES to approve the number transfer.

yes, for security reason, usually app has minimum os version requirement
if you just need the app to activate, you can ask a friend with a newer phone and ask them to download the app and help you to activate. Once the activation is done, your friend can delete the app and you can do everything on the web using a browser
