@Hutchie if you've already tried swapping the SIM cards to see how they work in each other's devices, I would recommend doing the device check that @esjliv first mentioned.with your grandaughter's device.

Do that here:

how do i open a ticket?

@Hutchie

Have your granddaughter remove the sim and check the sim slot for any dirt and debris. Then reseat the sim and see if it sits a little loose in the sim tray. If so she can use a little paper shim or a little tape to secure it in the tray. Ensure no tape is in contact with metal conductive side of the sim card.

@Hutchie   Did you confirm PM charge your credit card?

Try to reseat the SIM one more time (power off, take it out for a minute, put it back in and power on)

If it still fails,  no worry, it is likely a SIM provision issue, open ticket with PM and they can solve it quickly

@Hutchie

Did you reboot your phone after activation?

Also, perform a reset of the network settings.

Try the SIM into another phone to see if services work.

Is your phone locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.

Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
