If you are using a smartphone say android, and have wifi or a dataplan. Just use a VoIP dialer

Won't cost you anything as it just uses data, but just realized you said mexico

The above method is the easiest by far and it costs 3.75c/min if you use all of the 400 minutes.

I was going to suggest to try Google Hangouts as it only costs 2c/min but the minimum google top up is $10 so really not worth it.

So ya, but the International Long Distance add-on. That really is pretty cheap.

Hi @honeycat,

If you want to be able to call Mexico then first you need to make sure your current plan has either provincial or canada-wide calling included.  Then log in to your My Account and select the $15 long distance add-on which includes Mexico in it's long distance package (see below).

$15 / 400 International Long Distance minutes

Included countries: Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.

****Please note: If your plan is a data only or text only plan then you won't be able to use the add-on****

@honeycat you need to purchase the $15 400 min long distance add-on.  More on how to purchase add-ons can be found here.  EDIT: and a list of the 18 countries to which you can call using minutes from this add-on can be found here; note that calls to the USA and Canada (if you're only on a province-wide talk plan) are also included, though they are not listed in those 18 countries.  So technically, it's actually 19-20 countries.
