Hello,
I need some assistance. I am able to make phone calls - it looks like im registered on the public mobile network, however unable to receive and send text messages

if sending text is also a problem but you can receive calls, then it is just text issue.
First try Reset network settings.
if that does not work and if you are using Android, try clear cache and clear data on the message app
last, you can ask PM to check the setup on the system
Simply open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA code when login, use email to receive code instead of SMS if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) When open Chatbot ticket, Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
But if you have trouble using Chatbot to open ticket, then message PM using this link:

Question is - can you Receive calls on Your ported number through PM service??

Did you reply the port authorization text from your old provider? You replied yes?
can you receive incoming calls ?
