The only way to do that is to open a new account at PM.

Loyalty is 10 points a year no matter how long you are with PM. Unless you have zillion referrals and your service is free or your have plenty of funds and unused add-ons I see no point of keeping 'old' number with PM if you do not like it anymore.

You can easily log in to your Public Mobile account and change your number....but you just can't port old number to somewhere else without losing your entire PM account.

What are you trying to achieve?

One option is keep your PM number and account. Then set up a free online telephone number on TextNow or Fongo. And then call forward your PM number to the free online number. That way when somebody dials your PM number, the call will go to your free online number. You can call back other people using either your PM number or the free online number (which may be done by Wi-Fi calling)

This is sad and unreliable i just want to change my number and keep the old one.

if you successfully port your Public Mobile number to a new network, your Public Mobile account is deactivated. You'll lose any Rewards that you have. Best is to start a new account with new network and take a new number...independent of PM.

added...consider downloading free WhatsApp. You can call / text for free to other Whatsapp users...for free from anywhere on planet earth using local wifi or separately purchased data.
