Hello.
I am trying to activate my phone. I've put my middle name as first name on public mobile account and I think because of that, my credit card does not work when I try to sign up on subscription plan.
Can I change my first name on my account please.

The payment system doesn't care about your name. The postal code however... Go to Google Maps and type in your postal code and see if it finds it. If it does then sure something else is wrong. If it doesn't find it then another option is to use one of those prepaid visa gift card type cards to sign up.
Also, is the card a US card? US cards aren't usable for sign up. Once signed up then you can use the US card.

Using an email that's specific for your pm account can be a safer security option. While a little inconvenient for you it makes it harder for hackers as they use the convenience of customers using the same email for all of their online accounts (and often the same password) as their way to hack into accounts. Just a suggestion of course....and a workaround to your current problem. After you do successfully activate you can change the personal details in your account profile afterwards just be sure to update them in your eversafe ID before logging out.

even you start using the browser to activate, you still need to use the app to complete it. So, it is Much better to just use the app to start the activation process
if you are sure PM has not taken money yet, best is just use a new email address to create a new account and activate, and remember to use PM app

I was trying to activate via computer. I haven't even turned on my cellphone yet; and I plan to get a new number. I will just wait for a reply from one of customer service agents since I want to keep the current email address for public mobile account. I will see if I can back out of activation tomorrow on my computer if Customer service agents can't help me.

Back out of your activation. Delete the pm app and reinstall. Wait out at least one hour and see if you can restart the activation. It would be safer to use a new email address if your eversafe ID is using the email address of the current problem activation. But if you entered your phone number for the eversafe ID that you plan on porting to pm that might cause an issue. Do you plan on porting in? Or get a new number?

go to My Account, Profile, click the pencil beside your name and you can update the name
But after that, wait an hour before you try again with the credit card change or try to pay again, as the account could be locked for an hour after you tried 2+ times earlier

I think your only option is to contact customer support or start anew with a different email address if you are using a physical Sim card. Clear the pm app cache and start from scratch or use the link below....

Your account cannot be accessed to make changes until Sim activation is completed.

I can't even access my profile at the moment. I am stuck at review and pay and my credit card is not going through because I've put middle name as first name in public mobile account. There is no option to put my first name on that page.

To do so go to My Account, Overview and press the arrow, click Profile, scroll down until you see Account Name and press the pencil icon to change it. There you can edit your Personal information. Once your finished click Save Information and your all set.

Hi @wesleyez1, go to your self-serve account, then go to the "Profile" tab and change your name from there.

@wesleyez1 Log into your account and go to profile page and tap the pencil next to your name and change it there
