Hi,

Can I change to a 4G plan?

If so, which plans would be available.

Thanks.

Raphael

Yes you are free to change your plan to any of the current plans on the plans page including the promotional student plan of $55 for 20GB.

Keep in mind that this plan is for a limited time only so if you were considering a higher data plan this one's a good deal and you can always switch it if it's too much data or too much money but you won't be able to make that choice to switch to that plan for much longer than a month or two?!! (I suspect but it could end on Labour Day....you never know?)

It's always best to schedule a plan change on your next renewal as you don't lose any value in your current 30-day plan and your rewards will be applied as per usual if you are on the rewards program. As mentioned you will keep your current add-ons: gifted add-ons, purchased add ons.... the only ones you're most at risk of losing are bonus recurring monthly plan data promotions they are almost always lost when changing plans.

It is also advisable when upgrading to a higher price plan to manually top up your account the amount of the new plan so if you're going from the $40 plan to the $50 plan manually top up your account $50 so you don't suffer an autopay glitch where your renewal fails because autopay charges your credit card the former plan amount and not the higher new plant amount and they're also seems to be another glitch where is your plan doesn't change on renewal because auto payment charges your old amount and it renews that one instead of your new one until your next renewal then everything will go smoothly unless you change plans again.

Yes, everyone can change to the 4G plan there

You can check the current 4G plans from this page:

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/plans#plans-start

Just make sure, if you got those activation bonus for extra 2GB bonus per month for # month , you will loss the bonus if you make plan change

However, you won't loss your regular add-on that you paid, or from Christmas.  And you will get to keep your current current Rewards and the current reward plan
