Got my first spam email in my inbox. Hopefully PM will find the perpetrators and ban them from the site.

@GreaseMonkey definitely report it. As the saying goes, "see something, say something". Nothing can be done if nobody is telling the right people.
Everyone who is getting suspected spam needs to inform the MODS so they can tally up the numbers and I'm sure once it hits a certain amount it can be escalated. Notice from a few customers won't do anything, but notice from a few hundred would definitely move the needle.

@GreaseMonkey I got spammed as well with the exact same message above but from a different user. I've already reported it to the mods.. hope this stops!

I wander why do they do this, most of us don't come here to 'hook up with a stranger' I doubt they bate any clicks, bbut have to spend time on it. Just a nuisance
Hookiing up with a stranger might get more clicks from a certain demographic over the holidays than the lottery wins and viagra / black socks (or even, more targeted but still totally unsolicited, "we manufacture for you" and SEO emails I find in my email inbox a dozen times a day (it's a publicly available business contact e-mail, so I can't just crank down the spam filter to nearly zero, which I do for my other accounts, I'd miss potential customer inquiries on a regular basis...)

@GreaseMonkey Likely a private message to your Communty account. Suspect you have activated to receive email notifications of private messages.

Yes, crazy eh.
Will have to see how to get in touch with a moderator, never tried before.
Thanks.

Please report this type of behaviour to the moderators. They have already taken action to curb it.

They can only do something about it if you report it to the moderators. Just posting here doesn't help, this thread will likely not be noticed (specially once it has slipped off the new topic short list).

@GreaseMonkey you can click on report message or something like that and it will send the spam message to the Moderator_Team and they'll deal with it
