I cannot receive or make calls for a while now.

Hi There,

 

I have not been able to make or receive calls for a while now, but still paying monthly. Please help!

I tried all the tips here in the chat.

Latest update is 16.7.11 for the iPhone 8.

@Paul117  The post by @Eddielsl  just gave me another thought, in Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Options - Voice & Data make sure the phone is set to LTE and not 3G.

Did you have any service signal on your phone? Was it showing 3G, LTE or 5G? Please try to restart your phone and make sure there is service signal on your phone. 

@Paul117  Do the incoming calls go to voicemail?  Have you checked the little switch top left of the phone to make sure it's not flipped on to "silent" mode?  It's common for it to accidentally get moved over. You don't have any settings for "contacts only" or do not disturb?

iPhone 8 is good.  Its VoLTE will work with PM.

the no dial tone when calling is a problem with some people but it can be fixed by support

with the problem of unable to receive calls, did you try your sim on another phone?  Try it as it will force a sim reprovision and it can resolve the problem without the need of PM support

iphone 8...There is just silence and finally a dial tone. Call is not recieved...no rings or indication someone is calling.

What happens when you try to make or receive a call? What phone are you using?

Also, you may want to reach out to customer support. To contact support you can submit a ticket through the chatbot by pressing the chat bubble in the bottom corner and typing in "submit a ticket" and selecting "Contact Us".

Data and text work?

What phone do you have? Brand and model?

PM is using Telus network and reframing one of the bands on 3G.  This will affect phones that are not able to use VoLTE for voice calls on PM network.  So, depends on the model of your phone, you might be one affected
