I can't use my data

Hi,

I purchased a data plan (shown below) but I can't use data (no internet connection). Thoughts?

If you've tried restarting your phone and that didn't work then check that you actually have mobile data enabled in your phone (check your phone settings).

 

Failing that, check your APN settings:

If that doesn't work, send a private message to the moderator team (click me!) with your phone number, email address and a description of the problem and they will look and ensure that the plan has been correctly applied. 🙂

 

For what it's worth, sometimes I've swapped SIMs between phones and if data wasn't working afterwards it has been the wrong APN setting.

Why don't you switch to 18GB/90 days with 3G speeds? Imo the bigger limit is better then faster speed since 2.5MBps should be still very usable. The problem is probably your APN settings. The 18GB/90 days is also cheaper it's $156 over 90 days so $52/month.

buying an add-on is a two step process. you buy it first, which gets money from your card. then you buy it again using the loaded money. Did you do that?

1. Try rebooting your phone? What message appears on the phone?

2. Login to your account and confirm the plan is correct and that a data add-on is showing under Add-ons?

3. Is this a new account and you requested transfer of your number from another carrier?

4. What is make/model of your phone?
