Since all phones sold in Canada are to be unlocked since 2017, you don’t need to register your phone unless it was lost or stolen by Blacklisting the phone through your carrier.
You are required to register and activate the SIM card.

@John84 - if you purchased a Certified Pre-Owned phones from Public Mobile, you can use this phone with any provider.
But, in order to have an account / phone number active with Public Mobile you need to go through the SIM Activation process to get an account.
With a new SIM card in hand, activate a new plan online here: https://publicmobile.ca/en/ns/portal/activation

@John84 What do you mean by register.? Are you trying to activate a new sim card as a brand new client?. Go to the activation page and follow the steps.
Or do you have a new phone but have been with PM for awhile and want to use the the new phone? Simply take sim out of old phone and out in the new phone.
If it's something else provide more details please.
