So, I really don't want to go through the hassle of changing my phone number but I keep getting calls non stop from this number 905-287-5720. If I answer all I get is a fax tone and it calls constantly like 15 times a day. I blocked the number on my device but it still gets to VM so my VM is always full and no one else can leave messages.
Any way to stop this number from getting through to voice mail and any idea how to find who this number belongs to?

You cannot stop people leaving voicemail even if you block their number (which might be spoofed thus wasting your time blocking random generated numbers).
What you CAN do is create an 'extended absence' setup on your account but then NOBODY will be able to leave voice mail.
I have that and since I set it up this way not one annoying vmail has been left on my phone.

thanks @computergeek541
Samsung new OS has AI answer, but you still have to click Text Answer or so and let the AI to "fool" around with the spammers 😂

I did once experiment with these apps but I don't remember which I used. The use of these apps involves leaving the number unblocked in the default calling app. The third party app would use call display to filter the calls and would answer the call and then hang up. Unfortunately, while did this work, in every case of that, the phone would ring momentarily before the call got answered. I decided that the phone actually ringing was more of an annoyance than just clearing the voice messages.

There's an app for everything yes. But most useless. Not worth the time or effort in my opinion.

There are actually ways to prevent a specific phone number from leaving voicemail. This involves using apps to answer the call and then immediately disconnect the call.

Blocking it will send them straight to vm.
See if there is pay phone around somewhere or go to your local community centre and ask to borrow their phone and call the number and see if anyone will answer or if there is a business greetings when it answers.
You google also use reverse 411 lookup the number online.
Eventually they will stop calling.
I dialed it and it just rings until it doesn't ring..about 20 rings.
