How to port a phone number to Koodo prepaid to Public Mobile?

Hello! I currently have two phones with separate phone numbers.

Phone No. 1 is with Public Mobile, and it is an iPhone.
Phone No. 2 is with Koodo Mobile prepaid. It is on a flip phone.

I'd like to transfer the phone number from Koodo Mobile prepaid over to my Public Mobile iPhone. How do I do this? I was researching and found this very old thread from 2019 which says I need to have a moderator's assistance as the self-serve procedure for porting a phone number will NOT work in my circumstances.

so, you are giving up the number on your Phone no 1 (iPhone)?  Once number is ported into a line, the number on the line originally will be gone.  Also, the account where the number came from (Koodo Prepaid in your case), will be closed

if you want to port your Koodo Prepaid number into PM, just ask PM to help. All you need to do is to open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
