Hello,

As a PM customer, I have:

- 2 accounts

- with 2 physical SIM cards

- with 2 associated phone numbers

- in 2 iPhone 7 Plus

- a multi eSim compatible iPhone 14

GOAL:

Operate one iPhone 14 multi eSim with 2 PM associated phone numbers.

History:

Step ONE

The iPhone 14 was set up successfully on PM with one physical Sim. One iPhone 7 Plus was retired.

The second iPhone 7 is ready to be retired also.

Questions:
1. How to TRANSFER second physical Sim phone NUMBER and activate second account into iPhone 14?

Detailed steps are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
🙂

@Handy1

Thank you for all of your assistance and kindness, it has been very helpful.

If you have any suggestions, please make recommendations.

The procedures seem daunting!

Due to inexperience, I am worried about creating a big mess; however, I have copied and pasted all of the notes from this post, will review, and might be brave enough within the next few days, to attempt the conversions.

If I have more questions or trouble, I will reach out again for assistance.

Thank you once again

🙂

@i_Cloud  Yes in your phone settings you can name the two separate sim and enable one as the primary number/account . And for the eSIM make sure you toggle on “turn on this line”

Adding @i_Cloud  you can also have two separate ring tones for each line also to keep track

@Handy1

One number is for business

One number is for personal

Questions:

A. Once both numbers are set up, can I turn the business number off outside of business hours?

B. How can I know which number (business or personal) the caller dialled?

 Thank you 🙂

@i_Cloud no, once you bought an eSIM for the account, the physical sim of that account will be voides

One account, one active sim

@i_Cloud  First set up new phone with your Apple ID and put the physical SIM card /number you want to keep in the new phone . Then download the PM app and log into the second account and buy eSIM for it

@Handy1

So if I try your recommendation to keep the first physical Sim and only convert the second physical Sim to an eSim, what are the detailed steps?

 Thank you 🙂

@i_Cloud  First thing you should and need to do is log into your Apple ID with new phone then proceed to change numbers to eSIM on the phone

@i_Cloud  It keeps it associated with the numbers you have on the physical SIM card for corresponding account until you buy eSIM then it will switch the number for that account to eSIM and the physical sim will no longer work . Then you need to log off clear app cache or one step further by uninstalling the app and reinstalling it to log into the second account to buy eSIM for that second account . It’s knows the number to that account as each of your accounts has different emails associated

@Handy1

The iPhone 14 has not yet been set up with Apple ID.

Questions:

1. In which order would the iD be set up?

a) Before downloading the PM app?

b) after downloading the PM app?

 Thank you 🙂

Questions:

When logging into each account separately to purchase eSims, does the system continue to keep the currently associated numbers to the physical Sims??

or

Are new numbers associated with the new eSims?

 Thank you 🙂

@i_Cloud

you can have multiple eSIM (for different accounts) on the same phone and iPhine allows 2 eSIM to be active together

assuming you have the eSIM for the first account installed , when installing the 2nd eSIM for the 2md account , you have to make sure you log off your first account , then login to the 2nd account and buy eSIM.  A new eSIM will be installed and won't overwrite the first one

@i_Cloud  I say to uninstall the app and reinstall install it because of cache issues . If you log into your first account , and try to log into your second account with out clearing the app cache it might take you back into your first account and you end up putting second number over top of the first by accident . So just be uninstalling the app and reinstalling you avoid this from happening

@Handy1

Thank you for sharing!

Unfortunately, as a first time eSim user, I do not understand.

Questions:

When logging into each account separately to purchase eSims, does the system continue to keep the currently associated numbers?

or

Are new numbers associated with the new eSims?

I need detailed step by step instructions, in order to keep both phone numbers.

Thank you for your time and efforts.
🙂

@i_Cloud  So you want both numbers on eSIM ? Log into PM app  with new iPhone and buy eSIM

then un install  app reinstall it log in on the app again with second account and buy eSIM

That’s it you will have both Pm accounts on one phone not 3 . Personally I would keep one account on physical sim and just do the second account on eSIM . But I’m pro physical sim and not a fan of eSIM for the ease of switching devices on the fly when I need /want too

Thank you for your prompt reply!

Goal: keep both active numbers associated with the 2 Sims into one iPhone 14.

Preference:

Not creating a third (new) number.

Any solutions?

 Thanks

@i_Cloud  So you have two separate phone numbers and accounts ? Because you can’t have  two sims with same number

but if two separate accounts keep the one number on physical sim  and put it into the new phone and for the second number log to to the app on that second number account and buy eSIM is the only way to have both numbers for use on one phone

or is you want both numbers on eSIM @i_Cloud  you have to log into the PM app for each account and buy eSIM . But when you do first account be sure uninstall the app and reinstall it before doing the second accounts eSIM
