I agree with @computergeek541 that "better" is always relative and depends on what your needs are. While the "build your own plan" feature is something I think sets Public Mobile apart (and, yes please, as you mention, people should take the time to try different options, the bundle discounts often get you better value with the third choice), these days the best bang for the buck is in the ready made special offers.

There is an option to create your own plan that you can tailor to suit you. Just FYI sometimes adding more to the plan will not affect or may lower the cost of the total plan (eg. with Canada-wide talk and Interational text if you add 500MB data it cost $5 less then if you get no data). Better is very subjective. Only you know how much you want, can, or are willing to pay, and what you need out of a plan. There aren't any plans available that aren't already advertised, and you're free to choose from them.

Once you see your current plan listed, select from a new plan or use the plan builder to customize a plan. Suggested choice is to "change at renewal" instead of "change plan now" unless you want to lose whatever is left on the existing plan as they are not pro rated.
