How to cancel plan change?

I recently changed my public mobile plan to a 5G data plan. However I didn’t check to see if my phone was 5G capable and it is not. The plan change will take affect starting my next billing cycle. I’ve seen some people online saying that you can cancel the upcoming change in the add-ons section of the public mobile website, but I can’t find that option anywhere.

I fully agree. It's a great offer.  OK. So here's the thing. Even if your phone is not 5G, you can still get pretty fast speeds. What I'd suggest, instead of cancelling it, try it for the month. Do a speed test once it's started to see how fast you get vs 3G. Then you may change your mind. Personally, I'd try it first. All about trial and error. Worse case it costs you $4 to try and you get 18 more gigs of data for the month. You can always change the plan on the next billing cycle.

Oh I didn’t realize it would still work. I did some brief googling and the consensus was that 5G doesn’t work on non-5G phones so I figured my service would simply stop working. I’ll keep the plan then, thanks for your help!

@Domoappo9 You don't need a 5G phone to get a 5G plan or 5G speeds. The 4G/LTE network is capable of reaching speeds up to PM's 250Mbps 5G that they market.

@Domoappo9

it is a no brainier. don't cancel the plan change, your device is compatible... you're essentially paying for faster speed and more data. if your device is compatible with the plan you are on now, it will be compatible with the new 5g plan

Under my account there are two buttons, one for “Add-ons” and one for “Change Subscription”. Clicking the subscription one brings me to a page only showing me plans offered, followed by legal fine print.

I was on the $30 2GB 3G plan, and I changed it because I got offered a $34 20GB 5G plan. $4 more for 18 extra GB seemed like a no-brainer to me.

@Domoappo9  Go to your account subscription add on page and you can cancel it there

Adding @Domoappo9  even if your phone doesn’t support 5G you will get better speeds with phone set to LTE then being in a 4G plan so you can keep your plan change and still enjoy faster internet speed then you currently have

Hi @Domoappo9

Easiest way to do it is to download the app, log in, go to subscriptions and you'll see an "upcoming change". Then click cancel. Or you can log into your account on line and go to subscriptions and you'll see the upcoming change and you can click on cancel

What plan are you on and what did you change it to...  just curious.
