I logged into my Public Mobile account, went to Profile, and reported my phone as stolen.
Will Public Mobile automatically blacklist this phone? Or do I need to do anything else to get it blacklisted?

maybe hold off for a day or 2 before blacklisting your cellphone. If you've set account as Lost / Stolen, whoever has it can't easily use it. Besides ...hopefully it'll be found / returned quickly...(fingers crossed for you)

if the phone has been using on PM network, Please ask CS agent to submit the blacklist request for you
and use the FindMy service to locate the phone and try a remote wipe

they won't automatically do it for you
but you can ask them them to it. please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:
