I am wondering if Public Mobile charges $5/month for call forwarding like my line with TELUS does. My TELUS line costs $5/month for 3000 call forwarding minutes to Canada or US numbers. Is it the same charge here? Also, if I forward to US numbers, will I be charged for long distance calls in addition to the call forward fee?
The only information I could find here was about HOW to use call forwarding, not about the cost associated with using it.

Realy?
https://www.rogers.com/plans?icid=R_WIR_JOR_BO605X - only $105 and $175 includes US calling, the rest? Canada calling only
https://www.bell.ca/Mobility/Cell_phone_plans/Unlimited-plans - Only the $95 has US calling.. the rest? Canada calling only

Province? Heck...across town!

I've never heard of a plan at the big 3 carriers that charged extra for calls to the USA. It's something I've had included on Bell, Rogers and Telus since I've had a cell phone/moved out. I can understand not having it included on value brands like PM or Lucky, hence the cheaper rate. I remember my parents telling me about a time where even calling a different province in Canada had long distance charges associated with it, but that was back in the 90's and earlier.

I'm not going to talk about plans and features of other providers that I know nothing of.
Even with US calling minutes like the freebies, you can't forward to the US here.

@WoozyPolarBear not all plans in the market include US calling for free. I am pretty sure if a plan does not include US calling, you cannot forward to US phone number. that is pretty much true for most carriers. And in some case, even you have US calling for free, forwarding might not allow that too. PM has offered free US calling for a small number for plans before, pretty sure those do not include forwarding to US as well

Curious what you pay for all that?

@WoozyPolarBear if you think that way, then it doesn't make sense why we need to buy US calling add-on to call US then. LoL
My TELUS line does include USA calls without needing a addon, so I do think it's weird you do with PM.

@WoozyPolarBear yes, Telus owns PM.. PM uses Telus network.. but we are not paying the same as Telus.. so, we have 2nd class service.. in terms for features.. LoL

Sure, and for things like that that no one does or everyone does I might have said that. But like softech, that's what we mean. You can't do that here.

@WoozyPolarBear not with PM.. that's what I meant. PM does not allow that

I am forwarding my number to USA with Telus as we speak. So it does work.

Zero for Canadian numbers.

No cost (unless you're on the old $13 plan). You can't forward to a US number.

@WoozyPolarBear you cannot forward your calls to US number. You can only forward to Canadian numbers
