I did search past posts on this subject but couldn't make it work for me -- the following past solution didn't work for me .

I wouldn't know anything about deleting photos? Oh wait there was that one time there was a weasel in the henhouse and I had to go hog wild and delete most of my library. I dread the days, and days it will take me to delete almost all....
But @J_PM was kind enough to restore our image libraries to their former glory after I kept mumbling and grumbling and kvetching and complaining about the difficulty trying to access them after this present community came along.

Psygineer: With the changes of the community a while ago the image library got a bit messed up.

Honestly, I have tried from time to time to get that to work for a while and finally they are gone. After being haunted by them for almost 3 years! Turning them to hidden they kept showing up, but some how finally found the X after searching for it for years! Thanks! Have my Bravo, you earned it!

Somehow stumbled on "My Photos" and managed to delete all my saved photos.

Nope. Sorry. Click on Upload an Image in the first profile. Then the public album. Then you should see the hover-over x.
