I received a pm from a Public Mobile Support member this afternoon and was told that there was a couple of errors when I ported my # and attached a ticket.  Well, within 10 minutes after I received the email, the service on my Koodo Sim was cut off(while I was at work) so I put in the PM Sim as soon as I got home and success... Public Mobile is up and running.  Thanks everyone for the help 🙂👍

If so, you should get everything working on that number before porting.

Is your Koodo number prepaid?

That bit of info would have helped me very much when signing up. It was a very long frustrating procedure and a few days before I gave up of not having any phone service and chose a new number. Now it works perfect. Didn’t bother trying to port my number after that. Thank-you for letting this person know.

@MysticDeth Others may disagree, but at this point, if you haven't already, I would send a ticket to a @CS_Agent. They have been quite responsive lately and it can't hurt to have them looking out for you.

Good luck!

Koodo can be quite quick....  few minutes to a couple of hours.   You could use your Koodo SIM card for now.  Once it stops working, then the port is completed.

If more than a few hours, then your port may be stuck and you may need moderator help.

My Koodo sim was still active so I am using it until the port goes through which hopefully is soon lol

Thanks I've done this several times and never had an issue but I thought the temp number was good until the port was completed.

I guess I'm glad mine went quickly.

@MysticDeth any change in your service?

My experience with Koodo postpaid has been nearly immediate.

Does anyone know if the temp number should be working still if the port is still in process? I would think it would.

I'm leaning towards a stuck port.

No, temp number is gone as soon as request is made. The number getting ported gets assigned right away.

No calls out is not a porting problem but probably provisioning. Is your Koodo line still working? Did the number you activate work when you tried to call before the port was requested?

Were you on Koodo post paid or pre-paid?  If you were on pre-paid you will need the assistance of the moderators.  If it is post paid it should be done within minutes to a couple of hours.

I was on Koodo post paid

I tried that, still nothing.  I have public mobile in my notification bar but when i go to call out, the call ends right away.  My text messages show as sent but they aren't received by the recipient.
