How do I disable voicemail completely?

I have been trying to disable my voicemail for so long, I got these instructions from the service person:

To deactivate the voicemail please follow the steps in your online account:

Go to the Price Plans and Services

Select Services

Select Advanced Edit and click Submit

Locate Voice Mail under included features and check the box

Click Submit then Accept.

But there is no Price Plans and Services tab, I have tapped through all menus on both mobile app and desktop website to find the services tab, no luck.
Main issue is that constantly have a notification of new voicemail on my Samsung phone that doesn't go away, and whenever I open it, I have 0 messages in my voicemail. I don't have advanced settings for samsung voicemail in my settings which I have tried before and you can't disable notifications from the phone app, it does have a voicemail notification category but its greyed out. I also tried removing the Samsung phone app package with Universal Android de-bloater but the notification seems to come from within the android's system dialer apk. If you guys have any solutions I am open to anything that works.

It never disappeared for me, its been 6 months now, and even after disabling my voice mail completely today, it reappeared, its still on my screen after i swiped it away multiple times after disabling my voicemail

I've had that happen on rare occasions...I call them ghost voicemails. There's left over notification from previous deleted messages. They will eventually disappear..I could never figure out how to do it but they do finally go away. If you have no use for voicemail, use suggestions from above to "disable" voicemail.

Tried that already but it doesnt work too

hi @tester12

again, this is just a phone issue, i think

you can try to clear cache and clear data with the phone app

I have tried to do it, but OneUI doesn't let you disable notifications from the phone app, I have switched to google phone app and still the notification doesn't go away, I have gone into notification categories voicemail is greyed out, I have tried to uninstall the phone package from the device using adb but the notification is coming from the android's default dialer package which I should not uninstall or it'll cause problems. I have tried everything under the sun.

hi  @tester12

if there is no voicemail, then the notification is just something stuck on the phone from before.  Disable this notification at the device level

There are no voicemails in the system, I have 0 messages and the notification doesn't go away.

hi @tester12

that notification was from your previous voicemail.  I think what @softech ask you to do is to forward the calls to a random places, it does not even hit your voice mail

call your voicemail once, delete all the voicemail and the notification will be all gone

I swipe it away and it reappears after 5 seconds

It did disable my voice mail but I still can't get rid of the notification.

@tester12

there is no formal way to disable voicemail, but there is workaround

To "disable" voicemail, dial: *004*8080000000# on your phone
Then all calls will ring forever or get a fast busy tone instead of forwarded to the voicemail.

To reset it back to defaults, dial ##004#
