Hotspot - what is going on?!

I’ve just tried to use my iPhone as a hotspot (having done so many times - including today) and it now says contact PublicMobile to enable!!!

Why? It was enabled!

@THINKL   so, issue is now resolved? or you meant it stopped working?

did you even reboot the phone?

Thank you.  It was working a couple hours earlier and nothing in my settings has changed.

your iphone hotspot ever work? or just first time testing it?

Check this

on your iPhone, go Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Network -> PERSONAL HOTSPOT / APN -> sp.mb.com (or isp.mb.com ). Leave Username and Password blank.

 

Also, check  Settings --> Personal Hotspot --> Allow Others to Join is set accordingly

Try enabling Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time then connect to the Hotspot.

I had to do this to connect my iPhone 8 that isn’t on any plans or carriers to my iPhone 14 Pro to use the iPhone 8.
