I was told I could put my number and phone on a 80 day for $10. and when I asked

to have that in October I was charged the regular rate even though I didn’t use the

Phone for 7 months.

How can I communicate with this company.

that last missed communication cost me $310.

PM is an online service and you are in complete control of your account and there are no fee for putting your account on pause.

Just login to your account online or on the PM app and disable Subscribed (AutoPay) for a maximum of 90 days or you can switch to the low $19 plan so you can keep your number, keep your account and keep the one time activated SIM from becoming useless.

If you are putting your account on pause. Remember to enable subscribe on the 88th day encase there is an issue with reactivating your account.

Upon further research most postpaid providers offer a vacation suspension fee of up to 6 months. Bell offers a one time suspension fee of $49. Telus, Rogers and Fido charge $30/month (2 to 12 months). Freedom charges $15/month up to 12 months. Prepaid providers allow the mandated 90 days of non-payment before your account is canceled and deactivated.

Are you 100% sure you are a Public Mobile customer? Or perhaps you were communicating with a different mobile service provider that gave you those terms?

@JeannieWildeman I am not aware of this feature that you speak of holiday mode for $10.

What public mobile allows you to do, is to not make a payment for up to 90 days without loosing your phone number.

We recommend pausing it for 88 0r 89 days. There is no cost.

After 90 days you plan will close and you will lose the number.

If that is something you want to do,  you have to sign into your account and toggle the subscribe button to off.

That is how you pause the account for maximum of 90 days.

Anything over that is lost.

This is something you have to do yourself through your account online.

There is no holiday mode at Public Mobile, and there has never been any $10 90-day plan.  To keep an account open, it can't be suspended fror more than 90 days.

hi @JeannieWildeman there is no such on hold plan

instead. you can stop Autopay before your trip and let the plan expires and suspend at the end of that cycle.  Then you have 90 days to come back and resume the plan.  But you  must resume before the 90 days deadline.  If you trip is longer, some people resume for 30 days and then let it suspend for another 90 days
