@maximum_gato Yes the "Main plan" Would probaly have to be on the Samsung because apple phones don't do cool stuff like that. But he would have to get a Data plan on his work phone to use that app. I think the Fido 15$ monthly tablet plan with 4GB of data is good. It is only for Fido postpaid customers but with some arguing you could get it. I know a few people that got it without a postpaid plan.

@AdamLove  You can activate two accounts/plans on two different phones and get an app that will allow each phone to alert the other that there is a call or text coming in from the other and allow you to answer on either phone. This eliminates the need to have both phones with you at all times. However a "family" plan does not exist at pm.

@AdamLove, it says you are a community member with Public Mobile since February 2, 2020. Does that mean you already have a Public Mobile account, and now adding another 2 more lines?

If so, then you should be able to see your referral code in your self-serve account. Might as well get the additional savings where you can save it the most, which is your personal account.

Good luck!

Thank you for all of your help..

!

@AdamLove, this was suggested by @darlicious:

Get the $15 plan + $5 for Canada Wide of 500 minutes + $15 - 1 gig of Data.

Basically your monthly plan is $15. But the additional add-ons would be $20 and will expire when you use it all up. Granted, you could easily use your business line for personal calls too.

With your business plan? $25 plan would be a great plan for a business. Yes, I would keep that. Granted, depending on what you do too? Do you use QuickBooks for invoicing clients on the spot (ie a trade business?). If so, then you may need more data for that. Not sure.

Or, if you prefer you could use both one cell phone as a business and personal, and write a percentage off for the use as a business line. This would save you some money on both phones, SIM cards, and carry two phones too.

For example: Your cellphone as a small business deduction If you're self-employed and you use your cellphone for business, you can claim the business use of your phone as a tax deduction. If 70 percent of your time on the phone is spent on business, you could legitimately deduct 70 percent of your phone bill.

@AdamLove yeah that works for me!!

Business

I want iPhone $25 unlimited all and 1 gb with auto pay

And

Pleasure

$15 For Samsung still unlimited incoming call and 250 mb data

Sounds right

Yes, this is exactly what you can do! and save 2.00 on each if you sign up for autopay and also get 1.00 off one plan as a referral bonus. saving you 5.00 a month in total. If you need a referral let me know 😉 LOL

@AdamLove, if you haven't done this yet, if you use one phone as a personal, and if you know someone who is with Public Mobile, I kindly suggest you ask for a referral code. Why? If you did this, the other person who refers you will get a credit of $1 per month as a reward. And in return, you will get a $10 credit for signing up.

Now, once you get the personal phone up and running. Create a new account with the new SIM card and email address and set-up your business phone. Here, you can be the referral now. Now, your personal phone will get the $1 off per month, and the business phone will get the $10 credit too!

And you also mentioned, you have a third potential line. I would strongly suggest you do the same thing again, but still, use your personal phone as the main referral. Why? Well, if you use your phone as a business, you can at least write the cell phone charges as an expense. Your business may or may not reduce taxes, but you can't write off your personal phone expenses. So, use the personal phone as the main referral if you want.

Than insert the SIM cards into the phones..?

@Staliger

yeah, this is what I was thinking but might not be what he is thinking. He will now have three separate bills, where if you are with BELL, for example, you can have 15 phones on one bill.

I think @AdamLove is referring to something like a Share Everything plan where there are separate lines on one data plan and you share the data across your lines. @AdamLove sorry PM dosent offer this but there is no point of a Share Everything plan because  you could just pick your plan according to how much data you use. Its still cheaper than a share everything plan. Those are marketing terms to make you buy their service and they say "Save 10$ off your bill with another account activation" When in reality their just trying to make you feed them more money by adding more accounts. Thank god PM doesn't do this. Just get separate plans your still saving more money especially if you refer them. If you want to use both phones i would just swap the SIM cards out or buy a plan with your business. If you have an android and they require the apple ecosystem then you have say to them that if you want me to use an iPhone you have to pay my phone plan.

@AdamLove Yes, you can get 2 SIM cards and select any 2 plans for each one of the SIM cards and insert in different phones for different purposes.

@AdamLove yes one sim for each phone and pick whatever plans you wish for each phone I’m sure you’d want all you can talk for your business phone of course and then For your personal phone you may want more data or whatever that’s your Preference

You are looking for a shared plan or a family plan.  Each person has has its own SIM card.  All person are sharing the minutes/texts/data.  I know Telus/Bell/Rogers have shared or family plan.  They are not cheap.

Before switching to PM, I had a Zoomer Wireless loyalty family plan with 4 people sharing 1000 anytime minutes + 6GB data.  It is cheaper for us to get 4 individual plans at PM.

This is a PM support forum. If you want more details, send me a private message.

PM is BYOD and they need to be unlocked.

I find iPhones expensive and Samsung with a better range in prices.

You can do it online yourself or use the store locator.

@AdamLove

PM does not have share or family plan that you can put more than one line in the same plan.

PM plan allows one line per account.  Each account must have a separate email address because PM self-serve account uses your email address as the username of your self-serve account.

@AdamLove  you can use email aliases or if a Google email account slight differences . +son etc. But you need to have seperate accounts and SIMS. So you will have different account numbers.
