Hey all,
I got a new phone, but the SIM card from my old phone does not fit the new one. I am thinking of just getting a new SIM card that fits the new phone. Will my phone line be automatically transferred to the new SIM card? I just have to put the new SIM card in the new phone and it'll work like normal? The old one won't be good anymore?
Thank you for your time !

@simonhor1 - if the current SIM card you have is too small to fit in your new phone's SIM slot, you could also obtain an adapter from cell shops. I am sure they dispose of them often. So if you ask, nicely, for any outer adapters they may just give them to you.
If SIM card is too large (and it is an older style non-3in1 type) cell shops can also cut them down to size to fit your SIM slot. Now, this would likely be a $5-$10 charge. So it is up to you if you want to proceed that way, or just buy a new Public Mobile SIM card and swap the number on your Self Serve account as @softech posted.

If the SIM is too big then hold the edges and push down in the middle to pull the right size SIM out.
If the SIM is too small then you can buy the adaptor and use it.
If still you want to buy PM SIM and swap it then use Change SIM link in self serve and if use email authorization confirmation.

Verify the one you have first....is it tri-cut

Yes your number and your account is associated to a SIM. If you buy a new one, you need to go to My Account and “change Sim” and enter the new SIM number.

As above and reboot.
The old one won't be good anymore?
Correct...won’t work ever again.
Thank you for your time !

Public Mobile SIM cards come in tri-cut sizing, as per below. Simply add or remove the necessary adapter ring to achieve the SIM slot sizing required for the new device:

@simonhor1 it could be a pre-cut Tri-SIM, you might be a able to take the outside "frame" out to make it smaller
If you really need to get a new SIM, get one from store and you should not be spending to much more than $10, some shops really sell it for too much
Once you got the SIM, login to My Account and click Change SIM card and pick one of the 2 ways to get the validation code, either from text if your current SIM is still working well on the old phone, or via email

You probably have a tri SIM already. They are triple cut and can be pushed out for the right size. Is your SIM too big or too small?
