Found a used SIM card and want to reactivate

MichaelSilky

Hi all. I found my old SIM card for PM and want to reuse it for my activation of the new plan I purchased. It says that it is already in use.

1. Question is how can I activate it?

2. Once I activate it can I get PM to reimburse me for the new SIM card that I ordered just yesterday. Thank you all.

Ok thanks - looks like I can just get another SIM card from Amazon.

Is there any way to get in touch with an agent if I end up getting one quicker than what they have sent to get reimbursement?

Members have reported that it took up to 3 weeks to arrive. Since Canada Post is back in service and the busiest time of the year. Don't expect it to arrive within 10 business days. You can get it for $5 from Amazon with faster shipping time or go to your local Telus/Koodo/Mobile Klinik stores for $10. If you live in the Mississauga/Oakville area, you can order from Canadian Cell Supplies online for $4 and arrange for pickup at their store.

Thanks.  Clarifies the issue. So how long will shipment take. It seems to be at least 10 business days. Does it take that long?

It's not at least 10 business days.  It could arrive the next business day.  Public Mobile says 10 business days so that customers don't expect faster.  It could be faster or it could be slower. Remember that there are many non-business days coming up.

@MichaelSilky

You can’t reactivate an old SIM that have already been activated. It is a onetime use.

You will need to wait for the new SIM to reactivate the SIM. If your old SIM/account is closed for nonpayment for 90 days or longer. You need to create a new account and pick a new number.

If your account is suspended for less than 90 days of nonpayment payment. Just login to account and replace the old SIM card number with the new SIM card number.

Easier to login into your PM app then to Account tab>Change Your SIM Card.

If you are having issues login to your suspended account. Just reach out to a CS_Agent to help you login to your account.
