First Trip to USA w/NEW Data Plan

Jayz1

I'm heading to the USA in a couple of days. I signed up for the new $34/month plan that includes text and data in the USA. Do I need to re-boot my phone and/or enable/disable roaming when I cross the border? Or other settings?

Thanks.

I don't think you need to change a thing. It should just keep working. I am in the 1st month of the same plan and was just in Seattle. I couldn't make or receive calls but had data and texting. I was not in airplane mode and roaming was enabled. I think that's alI that's required. rebooted phone twice with no success. I didn't pay attention to upper left corner where it shows what network your on. I have a repair ticket in (yesterday) and still waiting for a reply. Good luck.

@Jayz1 - You will have to enable data roaming for the USA data and calling to work.

Also connect to these carriers (Bolded always work):

CategoryT-MobileAT&TVerizon
Roaming Partners?YesYesNot really
4G LTE Capable?YesYesN/A (Yes)
5G Capable?YesUnstableNo
ServicesData, Talk & TextData, Talk & TextTalk & Text

Also you will need the Canada-US plan or a data roaming add-on, your plan ($34) should look like this:
